Synup, operated by Cardinalis Advisory, is committed to the safety of children and maintains a zero-tolerance approach to child sexual abuse and exploitation ("CSAE") and child sexual abuse material ("CSAM"). These Child Safety Standards describe how we prevent, detect, and respond to CSAE across the Service, consistent with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy, Apple's App Store requirements, and applicable law.
1. Adults only
Synup is intended strictly for adults. The Service is directed exclusively to individuals who are at least 18 years of age, and use by anyone under 18 is prohibited. We require age acknowledgement at sign-up and take action on any account we identify as belonging to a minor, including removal of the account and associated data.
2. Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation
We strictly prohibit, and have zero tolerance for, any content, conduct, or communication that sexualizes, exploits, endangers, or abuses children. This includes CSAM, grooming, sextortion, trafficking, and any attempt to solicit, produce, share, or promote such material or conduct. This prohibition applies to every part of the Service, including profiles, photographs, messages, listings, events, and business content.
3. Reporting a concern
Anyone can report suspected child sexual abuse or exploitation. Inside the app, use the Report option available on profiles, messages, and listings, or block the user. You may also contact us directly at support@synup.app. Reports concerning child safety are treated as our highest priority and are reviewed as quickly as possible.
4. How we respond
- We review reports of CSAE promptly and remove offending content.
- We suspend or permanently terminate accounts involved in CSAE.
- We preserve relevant records and report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or other appropriate authorities, in accordance with applicable law.
- We cooperate with law enforcement and respond to valid legal requests.
5. Prevention
We combine an adults-only age requirement, in-app reporting and blocking tools, and human moderation to reduce the risk of CSAE on the Service. We continually review and improve these safeguards.
6. Point of contact
Our designated child-safety point of contact can be reached at support@synup.app. We publish and maintain these standards to comply with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and applicable law.
